“In-between meal snacks” are a great way to stave off hunger meltdowns, and when it comes to snacks, we love our smoothies. While the sky’s the limit when it comes to flavors, it helps to have a starting base. Ours is simple:
Plain Yogurt and/or milk
Plain yogurt is the the perfect base for just about anything. It’s a terrific probiotic, and it adds a lovely texture to your smoothie. Milk (organic if possible) contributes protein, oatmeal keeps it filling, and frozen ripe bananas totally eliminate the need for added sweetener. Excellent on its own or with additions (peanut butter, mixed berries anyone?), this frozen mix is the perfect insta-boost “in-betweener”!
