A staple for any Pre-K/K/Elementary school classroom is an interactive calendar. Upon purchasing our calendar set, we immediately took it to our local Staples and had it laminated. Though the purpose of this purchase was to educate my kindergartner, we have to follow a “take turns schedule” to allow my third and fifth grader an opportunity to change the calendar too. We start with making the appropriate adjustments applying to day, date, and weather. We then sing/play a calendar game. Our two favorites, currently in rotation, are The Days of the Week and The Months are Fun!
*While prepping for our upcoming year, I stumbled upon this gem that my kindergartner is excited to fill out everyday! I don’t know what L would do without Calendar Journal time! Thank you Mudpies and Makeup!
